We were a group of 16 people and booked all the 4 apartments in San Lorenzo. The apartments are newly renovated and comfortable. The price is very good. Perfect for groups of friends

For a family of 5 it might be a bit smaller.

If you prefer nightlife and go to sleep only early in the morning, this apartment is for you, but if you want to spend all the day on foot wondering around Rome and expect to sleep at night, it is definitely not for you. The noise outside the apartment begins at midnight and finishes about 3 or 4 o'clock in the morning. The apartment is clean, you get everything you need for short stay and its location is good. Termini station is 15 minutes on foot, you can easily reach Vatican or Trevi and so on...

Surrounding is great if you love the night life, a lot of bars and restaurants. Street noise until 02.00am. Grafitti on every building. Transportation to Roma Center excellent. Apartment has only airconditioning in one bedroom, not sufficient to cool the apartment

My students and I had a very nice stay in lovely Rome. The apartments RMAP 78+79 were nice, clean and affordable. They were slightly smaller that you'd think from the pictures, but in Rome, you do not want to stay inside!! If you do not mind people making a bit of noise during late evenings, this is a great place to stay (my 18 years old students loved it). Via dei Sabelli is a typical Italian street with cosy coffee shops, and small, affordable restaurants. For us, the convenience of having the university area close by, was the main reason why we wanted to stay in San Lorenzo, but after having stayed there, this is an area I would like to visit again for more than one reason. The apartmenst are close to Termini, where you can travel by bus, train or underground to all the main attractions.
If you like walking, the appartments are situated pretty close to the historic centre, where you will find many tourist attractions as well as the" Shopping streets" Via Corsa and Via Nationale. Termini also have a lot of shops. We would very much like to thank the people behind Sleeping Rome, as well as the owner of the apartments. They were all very helpful, and easy to get hold of. We ordered taxi through "Sleeping Rome", and were met by two very nice taxi drivers at the airport. Very nice to have arranged this before you leave home- that way you do not have to worry about what the cost will be!

The apartment was up to our expectations in most ways - spacious enough for three and clean. The equipment needs to be looked into - odd sets of glasses and sum mugs one of which was cracked, a coffee-maker that we were unable to operate and no kettle. It would be a good idea if the landlord provided some basic amenities like toilet soap and a roll of toilet paper. We were reluctant to use the detergent/washing-up liquids in the kitchen cupboard as all the labels were in Italian which we could not understand.
The landlord did not give clear instructions on checking-out - only that he wanted us to leave by 10 am. We expected him to come to the apartment to collect the keys and check any damage and after waiting for over an hour decided to call him (calls are very, very expensive!). It was only then he told us to put the keys in a mailbox on leaving.
We were not really bothered by the restaurants in the vicinity; in fact we had a very good meal in the nearest one.

Basic apartment in resonably good neighbourhood. Plenty of Pizzerias in the street, double glazing kept most of the noise out at night.
Excellent security. Owner should point out where the washing machine is!

I had a great stay in Rome in July! The apartment is very comfortable and nicely decorated. The bathroom is clean and comfortable enough, bedrooms are cosy, both with big closets and comfrotable beds. The apartment is very close to Termini and there are meny nice restaurants in the area (I especially recommend nice little pizza-place around the corner - delicious!!). The owner is very friendly and helpfull. One drawback (a big one if you're staying in the hottest week of the year...) - the airco didn't work properly and we had only two fans to cool ourselves..
Otherwise, everything was perfect.:)Reference Code:

We stayed in Rome few days in the Apartment, that
was nice (clean, confortable) but we had reserved
the 1st.floor (which corresponds to this Code) and
when arrived it had been delivered to other persons leaving us the last floor (5th fl) that was very hard to reach without elevator and with
suitcases.Reference Code:

We found our apartment pretty much perfect for our requirements. It was comfortable and clean and Sig Magrini was very kind and helpful to us when we arrived.
Please do not believe the less than complimentary stuff that is written about San Lorenzo on some other websites. It is a
delightful neighbourhood, full of shops, bars and restaurants and even has its own daily
market. Yes, there is graffitti, but where in
Rome is there not?
San Lorenzo makes a refreshing contrast to the, of course wonderful in a completely different way, tourist areas. It does get pretty lively on the streets at night, but it is always good-natured and we and our two teenagers were so well exercised by our days sightseeing that we slept well anyway.
Whole experience thoroughly recommended!

We stayed in appartment RMAP77-80, in San Lorenzo area for one week. Everything was perfect. The room, the location, the owner.
It is within a very popular area full of cafes and restaurants, near to Termini station.

Correct apartments in a nice building, but the place is a bit noisy during the night on weekends.
